Upper Laguna Madre Was Crystal Clear
Waded the flats of the Upper Laguna Madre out of Corpus Christi and the water was gin clear. Sight-cast to redfish tailing in the seagrass and caught over 15 beautiful fish on gold spoons. This is some of the most visually stunning fishing in all of Texas.

Trout Bite on the Grass Beds Was Incredible
Drifted the grass beds in Corpus Christi Bay and the speckled trout were feeding aggressively on topwater plugs. Caught our limit of fat trout and released dozens more. The bay system here is incredibly healthy and the trout population shows it.

Oso Bay Was Loaded With Slot Reds
Fished the protected waters of Oso Bay on the south side of Corpus Christi and the redfish were everywhere. Cast soft plastics along the grass edges and caught slot reds on nearly every cast. This bay is an overlooked gem within the city limits.

Black Drum on the Flats Were Giant
Targeted black drum on the shallow flats of the Upper Laguna Madre and found schools of big fish tailing in the sand. Sight-cast to them with shrimp-tipped jigs and fought several over 20 pounds. The sight-fishing for drum here is a unique and incredible experience.

JFK Causeway Produced Quality Fish
Fished the lighted docks and grass flats along the JFK Causeway between Corpus Christi and Padre Island. The speckled trout were stacked under the lights and the redfish were cruising the grass. A quick trip that delivered a full cooler of quality fish.

Laguna Madre Sight-Fishing Was Unreal
Poled the skinny water of the Upper Laguna Madre and found redfish and black drum feeding together on the flats. The water was so clear we could see every fish. Made precise casts and had incredible hookups all morning. Corpus Christi is a sight-fishers dream.
