King mackerel were stacked on the nearshore reefs!
Slow-trolled live menhaden along the nearshore reef structures off Myrtle Beach and the king mackerel were absolutely crushing it. We boated six kings between 20 and 40 pounds in just three hours. The bite was so hot we ran out of live bait before lunchtime.

Mahi mahi blitz on the offshore wrecks
Ran out to the offshore wrecks about 45 miles southeast of Myrtle Beach and found mahi stacked up on every piece of structure. We caught over 20 mahi on light spinning tackle with ballyhoo — the colors on these fish were unreal. Filled the fish box and still had time to bottom fish for grouper on the way in.

Red drum were tailing all over the flats
Worked the backwater flats and creeks behind Myrtle Beach throwing gold spoons to tailing red drum in the early morning light. Landed eight beautiful reds between 22 and 28 inches. There's nothing like sight-casting to reds in skinny water on a calm fall morning.

Epic cobia run along the beach
Sight-fished for cobia cruising along the Myrtle Beach shoreline and spotted pods of fish all morning. Pitched live eels ahead of them and hooked five solid cobia, landing three between 35 and 50 pounds. Spring cobia fishing off Myrtle Beach is world-class.

Speckled trout going crazy on soft plastics
Drifted Berkley Gulp shrimp through the marsh channels and the speckled trout were hammering every cast. We landed over 20 specks with several pushing 22 inches. Mixed in a couple of nice flounder on the bottom too. Myrtle Beach winter inshore fishing is seriously underrated.

Deep dropping produced a monster tilefish
Made a long run to deep water off Myrtle Beach and dropped baits down to 400 feet targeting tilefish and snowy grouper. Pulled up a beautiful 30-pound golden tilefish on the first drop. We ended up with a cooler full of deep-water species — some of the best-eating fish in the ocean.
