The water clarity in the Exumas is unlike anything I have experienced. We waded the flats near George Town and I could see bonefish tailing at 80 feet away. Landed six bonefish between 3 and 7 pounds on light spinning tackle, all on sight casts. My guide also put me on a permit that I fought for 20 minutes before it finally came to hand — my first permit on the flats. The Exumas are a sight-fishing paradise.
