Cherry Grove Inlet was loaded with flounder
Fished live mud minnows along the edges of Cherry Grove Inlet on the falling tide and the flounder were stacked up on every drop-off. We landed 12 flatfish, keeping our limit of beautiful doormat flounder. This is one of the best flounder spots on the Grand Strand.

Red drum school had the water boiling
Found a massive school of red drum pushing bait near the Little River jetties and it was absolute chaos. Threw topwater plugs into the frenzy and hooked up on almost every cast. We landed over a dozen reds between 24 and 32 inches — one of the best fall bite sessions I've ever had.

Trolling for kings out of Little River
Launched out of Little River and slow-trolled live pogeys along the nearshore reefs. The king mackerel were on fire and we put six in the boat before noon, including a smoker that weighed in at 38 pounds. Perfect day on the water up here in North Myrtle.

Speckled trout slam in the creeks
Worked soft plastics through the tidal creeks behind Cherry Grove and the speckled trout were aggressive all morning. Landed 18 solid trout on artificials with the biggest pushing 24 inches. The creek systems up here in North Myrtle Beach hold fish year-round.

Mahi and wahoo on the same trip
Ran offshore from Little River Inlet and found a perfect color change about 50 miles out. Trolled skirted ballyhoo and connected with mahi on the weed line and a beautiful wahoo on a high-speed lure. The offshore bite out of North Myrtle Beach can rival anywhere on the East Coast.

Cobia sight-fishing was unbelievable
Cruised the beach off North Myrtle spotting cobia on the surface and pitched live eels to every fish we saw. Hooked six cobia and landed four, with the biggest going 52 pounds. Spring cobia migration along the Grand Strand is something every angler should experience.
