Fished live mud minnows on the falling tide at the creek mouths behind Jekyll Island and the flounder were ambushing bait on every drop-off. Landed eight gorgeous flatfish. The tidal creek system behind Jekyll funnels bait and flounder stack up at every choke point.

Dropped fiddler crabs around the Jekyll Island fishing pier and the sheepshead were absolutely stacked on the pilings. Landed a dozen fat sheepies with the biggest going nearly 6 pounds. The pier is one of the most accessible sheepshead spots on the Georgia coast.

Shark fishing off Jekyll was a thrill
Set up big baits off the Jekyll Island beach and the sharks were patrolling the nearshore waters. Hooked a 7-foot blacktip that put on an aerial show and also tangled with a big bonnethead. Shark fishing off Jekyll Island adds serious excitement to any Georgia fishing trip.

Black drum crushing crab near the creeks
Fished cut blue crab along the oyster bars in the Jekyll Island tidal creeks and the black drum were feeding hard. Landed five black drum between 15 and 25 pounds on heavy tackle. The shallow-water fight of a big black drum in a narrow creek is an unforgettable experience.
