Gateway to the Best Fishing in South Texas
Launched out of Port Isabel and ran straight to the Laguna Madre flats. The redfish were tailing everywhere in the seagrass and we sight-cast to them all morning. Port Isabel gives you direct access to one of the healthiest fisheries in the entire state.

Trout Fishing in the Laguna Was Electric
Drifted the channels and grass beds of the Lower Laguna Madre out of Port Isabel. The speckled trout were stacked up and we caught them steadily on soft plastics under corks. Kept our limit and released plenty of nice fish. Outstanding spring trout bite.

Jetty Fishing Produced Amazing Variety
Fished the jetties at Brazos Santiago Pass from the Port Isabel side and the variety was outstanding. Caught snook, mangrove snapper, sheepshead, and redfish all in one session. The jetties funnel an incredible diversity of species right to your line.

Sight-Fishing the Clear Flats Was Magical
Poled the ultra-clear flats of the Laguna Madre near Port Isabel and found redfish and black drum cruising together. The fish were fully visible in the shallow water and every cast was a sight-fishing opportunity. This is truly world-class light-tackle fishing.

Offshore Run From Port Isabel Was Worth It
Ran out of the pass from Port Isabel to the offshore grounds and caught red snapper and amberjack on the reefs. The snapper were fat and the AJs pulled hard. Came back through the pass and picked up a snook on the rocks. What a day.

Channel Fishing Was Surprisingly Good
Fished the Intracoastal Waterway channel near Port Isabel and the speckled trout were stacked up on the drop-offs. Also caught several nice flounder on the sandy ledges. Port Isabel offers quality fishing in the channel when conditions get too rough for the open bay.
