Halibut Capital of the World Delivers Again
Homer earned its title today — we boated a 150-pound barn door halibut on our second drift in 300 feet off the Spit. The fish took 40 minutes to bring up and required the harpoon to secure. Four more halibut to 80 pounds followed. If you want to catch a halibut of a lifetime, Homer is where you come.

Salmon and Halibut Combo Spectacular
Started the day trolling for kings in Kachemak Bay and boated three beautiful Chinook to 30 pounds. Then ran offshore for halibut and limited out on flatfish from 25 to 65 pounds. Homer's combination of salmon and halibut fishing is unmatched anywhere in Alaska — a true two-species paradise.

Lingcod and Rockfish Deep Drop
Targeted the rocky structure in 250 feet off the Homer Spit for lingcod and rockfish. The lingcod were aggressive on big jigs — six keepers to 30 pounds hit the deck. Mixed in some beautiful yelloweye rockfish on the lighter drops. Homer's bottomfish game is often overshadowed by halibut but it's world-class.
