Surf Fishing at Surfside Was Red Hot
Set up on the beach at Surfside and the redfish were running through the first gut all morning. Caught them on cut mullet and fresh shrimp. Landed seven nice reds and a couple of black drum. The surf fishing here is some of the best on the upper Texas coast.

Pompano Run Hit Surfside Hard
The pompano showed up at Surfside Beach in big numbers this spring. Caught them on sand flea Fish Bites in the wash. We boxed a nice mess of pompano and a few whiting. Surfside is a primo destination when the pompano are running.

Shark Fishing on the Beach Was Incredible
Set up for sharks from the Surfside Beach surf and hooked into a massive bull shark on the first bait. Fought it for over an hour before getting a clean release. Also caught a blacktip and a spinner. Surfside offers world-class surf shark fishing.

Jack Crevalle Blitz Off the Beach
Spotted a huge school of jack crevalle busting bait right off the Surfside Beach shoreline. Threw topwater plugs into the melee and had explosive strikes on every cast. Jacks are pound-for-pound one of the hardest fighting fish in the Gulf.

Speckled Trout in the Surfside Wash
Found speckled trout feeding in the second gut off Surfside Beach during a calm morning. Used live shrimp on a Carolina rig and caught our limit of nice trout. Surf fishing for specks is an overlooked technique that produces quality fish.

Early Morning Surf Produced a Great Catch
Hit the beach at Surfside before sunrise and caught redfish, whiting, and a surprise flounder in the first two hours. The fish were feeding aggressively in the trough right at the waterline. An early morning at Surfside is hard to beat for variety.
