White Seabass Smashing Iron at the Rock
Launched at dawn and ran to Morro Rock's kelp edge where the white seabass were corralling sardines. Cast iron jigs into the boils and hooked up immediately — landed three legal WSB to 42 pounds. The power of these fish in shallow water is something else entirely.

Rockfish Limits in Record Time
Ran south to the reef off Point Buchon and crushed limits of rockfish in 80 feet of water. Vermilion, coppers, and gopher rockfish came up on almost every drop. The DFW flight was overhead but we had nothing to worry about — every fish was legal and the smiles were genuine.

Lingcod Grinding on the Reefs
Worked the deeper rock piles off Cayucos in 130-150 feet and grinded out some quality lingcod on heavy swimbaits. Four keepers to 20 pounds came over the rail along with a bonus halibut that grabbed a jig meant for the bottom. Conditions were bumpy but the fish didn't care.
