Buoy 10 Salmon Slam
The Buoy 10 fishery was absolutely lights-out today with Chinook stacked in the lower Columbia. Trolled herring spinners in the shipping channel and had our 12-fish limit for a 6-pack by 10 AM. Fish were bright chrome averaging 18 pounds with a couple hogs over 30. This is peak Astoria salmon fishing.

Lingcod Smashing Jigs Offshore
Ran 12 miles offshore of the Columbia River bar and found lingcod stacked on a rocky pinnacle in 140 feet. Dropped 8-ounce swimbaits and it was instant chaos — seven keepers to 24 pounds hit the deck in under an hour. Mixed in some fat copper rockfish on the lighter gear between ling drops.

Rockfish and Crab Combo Day
Pulled limits of Dungeness crab from our pots in 60 feet before heading to the rockfish grounds. The black rockfish were aggressive on shrimp flies and jigs, and we had full limits by noon. Added a couple bonus lingcod to the mix. Perfect fall combo trip off Astoria.
