Summer Mix Was Outstanding
Fished the waters off the southern tip of the Eastern Shore and caught a beautiful mix of species. Started with Cobia in the morning, then switched to Flounder in the channel, and ended with some Red Drum near the CBBT. Cape Charles has it all.

Perfect Eastern Shore Getaway
Spent a full day fishing the Chesapeake Bay from Cape Charles harbor and could not have asked for better action. We jigged soft plastics for fat Flounder in the morning and sight-casted to Cobia in the afternoon. This little town is a fishing treasure.

Stripers Stacked at the Bridge
Trolled the CBBT pilings during the fall Striped Bass run and it was wide open. We pulled umbrella rigs tight to the structure and caught fish on nearly every pass. Landed 15 stripers with several over 35 inches. Cape Charles is a striper paradise.

Cobia Everywhere Near the CBBT
Sight-casted cobia along the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel from the Cape Charles side and they were everywhere. Spotted pods of fish cruising the surface and landed four nice cobia on live eels. This is the cobia capital of the East Coast.

Red Drum Were Crushing at the Tunnel
Fished the rock islands at the CBBT near Cape Charles and the Red Drum were absolutely on fire. We used cut bait on the bottom and hooked up repeatedly. Landed five big Drum over 40 inches in just a few hours.

Flounder Loaded Up in the Channel
Drifted the channel near Kiptopeke and the Flounder were thick on the bottom. Bounced bucktails with live minnows and filled the cooler with keepers. Cape Charles has some of the most consistent Flounder fishing in the Chesapeake Bay.
