Coquille River Kings Running Strong
The Coquille River fall Chinook run was in full force and we banked limits of gorgeous kings trolling spinners in the tidewater. Fish averaged 20 pounds with a couple bruisers pushing 30. The Bandon fall salmon fishery is one of the most reliable on the south coast.

Rockfish Limits Close to Shore
Ran just 2 miles out of the Coquille River mouth to a reef loaded with black and blue rockfish. Had full limits in 45 minutes on shrimp flies and small jigs. The close-in reefs off Bandon are incredibly productive and make for an easy half-day trip even in marginal weather.

Lingcod Grind on the Reef
Targeted lingcod on the deeper reefs south of Bandon and grinded out five keepers to 18 pounds on heavy swimbaits. The bite was pick-style — one fish per drift — but the quality was excellent. Finished up with some rockfish to round out the trip.
