Surf Fishing Fire Island Was Legendary
Hit the beach at Fire Island at sunrise and the Striped Bass were crashing bait in the first trough. Threw big plugs and had explosive strikes from fish over 30 inches. The undeveloped stretches of this barrier island are a surf fishing paradise.

Bluefish Were Chopping in the Suds
Fished the surf on Fire Island during a massive Bluefish blitz and the water was absolutely boiling with fish. Cast metal lures into the chaos and hooked up on every retrieve. Also caught several nice Stripers on plugs behind the blues. Nonstop action.

Fall Run Was Incredible
The fall striper migration along Fire Island was one for the record books. Schools of big bass pushed bait against the beach and you could see fish breaking for a mile in both directions. Caught over 20 Stripers on topwater with several trophies in the mix.

Fluke in the Inlet Were Stacked
Fished the Fire Island Inlet and the Fluke were loaded on the channel edges. Bounced bucktails in the current and caught a beautiful limit of fat flatfish. The inlet concentrates Fluke like few other spots on Long Island.

Night Plug Session Was Magical
Fished the Fire Island beach at night under a full moon and the Striped Bass were feeding in the wash. Cast large surface swimmers and had heart-stopping blowups in knee-deep water. Landed three fish over 40 inches. Nighttime surf fishing does not get better than this.

Miles of pristine barrier island beach with no buildings and no boardwalks. Just you, the ocean, and the fish. Spent a weekend surf fishing Fire Island and caught Stripers, Bluefish, and Fluke all within casting distance of the sand. Truly a special place.
