Port A Lived Up to the Hype
Fished the Aransas Pass jetties and the action was nonstop. Caught redfish on cut bait, speckled trout on soft plastics, and sheepshead on the rocks. Port Aransas earned its title as the Fishing Capital of Texas and this trip proved why.

Kingfish Were Running Hot Offshore
Trolled live bait offshore of Port Aransas and the king mackerel were thick. We boated eight kings with the biggest pushing 45 pounds. Also hooked into a surprise tarpon that jumped three times before throwing the hook. Port A offshore in August is electric.

Red Snapper Limits Were Easy
Ran out of Port Aransas to the offshore reefs and the red snapper were stacked up on every piece of structure. Limited out in under an hour and spent the rest of the day bottom fishing for mangrove snapper and triggerfish. Incredible day on the water.

Tarpon Rolling in the Pass at Dawn
Arrived at Aransas Pass at first light and found tarpon rolling on the surface. Made long casts with live mullet and hooked three, landing one spectacular fish over 100 pounds. The tarpon fishing in Port Aransas is a world-class experience that every angler should try.

Bay Fishing Produced a Texas Slam
Launched out of Port Aransas into Redfish Bay and caught redfish on the flats, speckled trout on the reefs, and a big flounder at the pass. Completed the Texas inshore slam before lunchtime. The bay systems around Port A are absolutely stacked with fish.

Family Fishing at the Jetties Was Perfect
Took the kids to fish the Port Aransas south jetty and they caught fish all day. Sheepshead, speckled trout, and whiting kept them busy. Even the youngest member of the crew landed a nice redfish. Port A is the perfect family fishing destination.
