Fairhope Pier Sheepshead Were Crushing It
Fished right off the Fairhope Municipal Pier and the sheepshead were thick around the pilings. Using fiddler crabs on light tackle, we had nonstop bites for three hours. It is hard to beat pier fishing in Fairhope during the winter months.

Speckled Trout Right Off the Eastern Shore
Launched out of Fairhope and ran south along the eastern shore of Mobile Bay. Found speckled trout schooled up over the shell reefs and they were hitting Mirrolures on every cast. Beautiful morning on the water with limits by 10 AM.

Redfish Were Schooled Up in the Shallows
Fished the grass flats off Point Clear near Fairhope and found a big school of slot redfish. Sight-cast to them with soft plastics and landed a dozen before they moved off. The eastern shore of Mobile Bay is phenomenal for inshore fishing.

Incredible Fall Trout Bite Out of Fairhope
The fall run brought big speckled trout to the eastern shore reefs near Fairhope. We caught fish up to 5 pounds using live shrimp under corks. Mixed in some redfish and a few flounder. One of the best fall trips I have had in years.

White Trout Were Biting Like Crazy
Set up over the shell beds just south of Fairhope and the white trout were chewing nonstop. Great fun on light tackle and perfect for a fish fry. We also picked up several sheepshead around the nearby pilings to round out the trip.

Sunset Redfish Session on Mobile Bay
Fished the evening tide along the eastern shore near Fairhope and the redfish started feeding right at sunset. Cast topwater plugs along the grass edges and had explosive strikes until dark. Landed five beautiful slot reds in less than two hours.
