End of the Road Fishing Was Unbelievable
Drove to the end of the road in Cocodrie and launched into pristine marsh that goes on forever. The redfish were schooled up in the ponds and we caught them nonstop on soft plastics. Cocodrie is the real deal for anyone who wants untouched Louisiana marsh fishing.

Speckled Trout Were Schooled Up Thick
Fished the bayou mouths and oyster reefs near Cocodrie and the speckled trout were stacked up and hungry. Caught our limit on Matrix shad under popping corks. The trout down here run big and fight hard in the warm water. Simply outstanding fishing.

Pristine Marsh Delivered Big Time
The marsh around Cocodrie is about as wild and unspoiled as it gets. We fished miles of untouched shoreline and caught redfish on nearly every cast. The water was clear enough to sight-fish them tailing in the grass. An incredible and remote fishing experience.

Flounder and Trout Made a Full Cooler
Fished the channels and drains around Cocodrie on a falling tide. Caught speckled trout on the drops and flounder on the sand. Came back with limits of both species. There is an incredible amount of productive water to fish down here.

Bull Reds Were Crashing Bait in the Ponds
Hit the interior marsh ponds near Cocodrie and found schools of bull redfish crashing mullet. Threw topwater plugs into the frenzy and got smashed instantly. Fought reds up to 35 inches all morning. This is as good as marsh fishing gets anywhere.

Kayak Fishing the Cocodrie Marsh Was Magical
Launched the kayak into the skinny water marsh around Cocodrie and poled to tailing redfish. Sight-cast to them with weedless spoons and caught a dozen beautiful fish. The silence of the marsh and the quality of the fishing make Cocodrie truly special.
