Flounder in the Rigolets Were Unreal
Targeted flounder in the Rigolets on a falling tide and they were laid up on every sandy shelf. Bumped live mud minnows along the bottom and boxed our limit in under two hours. The current funnels bait right through the pass and the flounder know it.

Fall Run Through the Rigolets Was Incredible
Fished the Rigolets during the fall mullet run and the redfish and speckled trout were feeding aggressively in the pass. The current was ripping and the fish were stacked up. We caught a mixed bag of reds and specks that filled the cooler easily.

North Shore Sheepshead Bite Was Fantastic
Fished the bridges and pilings on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain near Slidell. The sheepshead were crushing fiddler crabs on every drop. We also picked up some nice black drum around the bridge rubble. Winter fishing here is vastly underrated.

Rigolets Trout Were Feeding Nonstop
Fished the Rigolets pass between Lake Pontchartrain and Lake Borgne and the speckled trout were absolutely gorging on shrimp. We drifted live bait through the current and caught fish on every pass. Slidell gives you access to some of the best trout water in Louisiana.

Biloxi Marsh Reds Were Unstoppable
Ran out of Slidell through the Rigolets and into the Biloxi Marsh. Found redfish schooled up in every pond and drain we checked. Threw gold spoons and had over 40 hookups by early afternoon. This marsh is an absolute redfish paradise.

Lake Pontchartrain Produced Big Specks
Set up near the train trestles on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain out of Slidell. The speckled trout were stacked up around the structure and we caught several over 4 pounds. Using popping corks and Vudu shrimp was the winning combination.
