Westport is Washington's premier charter fishing destination, responsible for the majority of coastal angler trips in the state. Port Angeles sits on the Strait of Juan de Fuca at the base of the Olympic Mountains, providing a perfect interception point for salmon runs entering Puget Sound. Halibut fishing on the eastern strait banks is excellent, and the town's harbor offers comfortable departures for half-day and full-day charters targeting salmon, halibut, lingcod, and bottom fish.

Port Townsend is a Victorian seaport at the entrance to Puget Sound, with access to productive fishing waters in the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Admiralty Inlet, and the San Juan Islands. Anacortes is the gateway to the San Juan Islands and one of Washington's top fishing ports.
