Silver Salmon Chaos in Resurrection Bay
The silver salmon run hit Resurrection Bay like a freight train and we were ready. Trolled hoochies on downriggers at 40 feet and it was an absolute rodeo — limits of chrome coho to 14 pounds in under two hours. Seward's silver salmon run is one of the most exciting fisheries in Southcentral Alaska.

Halibut Giants in the Gulf
Made the run to the offshore halibut grounds in 350 feet and found fish stacked on the sonar. The first drop produced a 110-pound behemoth that tested every ounce of our gear. Three more halibut to 75 pounds followed. Seward's access to the Gulf of Alaska means you're fishing truly deep-water halibut habitat.

Rockfish and Lingcod Deep in the Bay
Dropped to the bottom in 200 feet inside Resurrection Bay and found excellent rockfish and lingcod on the structure. Yelloweye, black, and quillback rockfish came up in doubles and triples. Added four keeper lingcod to 18 pounds on heavy jigs. The protected bay waters make this a fishable-every-day scenario.
