Barrier Island Fishing Was Outstanding
Ran out to the barrier islands off Biloxi and the speckled trout were schooled up thick around the grass beds. Caught our limit on live shrimp under popping corks. The islands create a perfect protected fishery that holds fish year-round.

Red Snapper on the Nearshore Reefs
Hit the nearshore reefs off Biloxi and the red snapper were aggressive on cut bait. Limited out and then caught some nice triggerfish on the same structure. The artificial reefs off the Mississippi coast are loaded with quality bottom fish.

Redfish Were Stacked Behind the Islands
Fished the lee side of the barrier islands and found massive schools of redfish feeding in the shallows. Threw gold spoons into the school and had hookups on every cast. The barrier islands off Biloxi create a redfish sanctuary that produces incredible fishing.

Flounder Bite Was Insanely Good
Targeted flounder around the passes between the Biloxi barrier islands on a falling tide. They were laid up on every sandy ledge and we limited out quickly using live mud minnows. Mississippi Sound produces some of the best flounder fishing on the Gulf Coast.

Spring Trout Were Fat and Healthy
Drifted the grass flats in the Mississippi Sound near Biloxi and caught fat speckled trout one after another. The fish were in the 2 to 4 pound range and fought hard on light tackle. Spring fishing out of Biloxi is severely underrated and deserves more attention.

Mixed Bag Made for a Perfect Day
Fished the pilings and structure in the Back Bay of Biloxi and caught a fantastic variety. Sheepshead on the docks, speckled trout on the points, and redfish along the shorelines. Biloxi offers a complete inshore fishing experience with easy access from the casinos and hotels.
