North Shore Marlin Mayhem
Trolled the deep water off Haleiwa and a massive blue marlin crashed the stinger on the shotgun position. The fish was estimated at 500-plus pounds and gave us a 2-hour battle with multiple jumps and long runs. Tagged and released perfectly — the North Shore produces monsters.

Wahoo Screaming Off the Reels
The ono were on a rampage off the North Shore — trolled Rapalas at high speed and three wahoo hammered the spread in a 20-minute window. Biggest fish was a 65-pound torpedo that peeled line at an insane rate. These are the fastest fish in the ocean and Haleiwa is prime wahoo territory.

Yellowfin and Mahi on the Shelf
Fished the edge of the shelf off Haleiwa and found yellowfin tuna mixed with mahi at a current break. Boated four ahi to 50 pounds on the troll and six mahi on live bait once we stopped. The North Shore of Oahu fishes well year-round and today was a textbook example.
