Rogue River Spring Chinook — The Best There Is
Drifted the upper Rogue River tidewater and hooked into the legendary spring Chinook run. Landed four gorgeous springers to 35 pounds on back-bounced roe — these are the hardest-fighting salmon in Oregon. The Rogue River in April is bucket-list fishing and today proved exactly why.

Lingcod Thumping at Rogue Reef
Made the run out to Rogue Reef and the lingcod were absolutely thumping the swimbaits in 120 feet. Boated seven keepers to 28 pounds — a couple of them swallowed the baits before we could set the hook. Gold Beach's offshore reefs are lingcod central and today was proof.

Fall Chinook and Rockfish Combo
Fished the lower Rogue for fall Chinook in the morning and then ran offshore for rockfish in the afternoon — the perfect Gold Beach combo. Boated three fall kings to 22 pounds and then filled the cooler with black and copper rockfish. Two fisheries in one day is why this port is special.
