Halibut Capital Living Up to the Name
Neah Bay's legendary halibut grounds delivered again today with a 92-pound barn door on the first drift. We fished spreader bars with herring in 300 feet off Tatoosh Island and every drift produced keepers. Four halibut to 92 pounds — this is the premier halibut destination in Washington and it's not close.

Chinook Salmon Smashing at the Cape
Trolled the rip off Cape Flattery and found a massive school of Chinook salmon feeding on herring balls. The kings were stacked from 30 to 80 feet and every pass produced a hookup. Boat limits of chinook to 28 pounds — all gorgeous ocean-bright fish. Neah Bay in July is salmon paradise.

Lingcod Giants on the Reef
Dropped swimbaits on the rocky reef northwest of the marina in 160 feet and tangled with some absolute brute lingcod. Biggest fish was a 35-pound monster that nearly spooled me on the first run. Six keepers total with four over 20 pounds — Neah Bay grows them big.
