Fajardo sits on Puerto Rico's northeast corner with access to the pristine waters around Vieques and Culebra islands. Fajardo is a ferry hub to the outer islands.

Rincon is Puerto Rico's laid-back surf town on the west coast, but the fishing here is world-class. The Mona Passage between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic funnels massive pelagics — blue marlin, wahoo, mahi mahi, and yellowfin tuna — past Rincon's shores. Cabo Rojo at Puerto Rico's southwestern tip offers outstanding fishing in the rich waters of the Mona Passage. The area is known for excellent nearshore action with snappers, groupers, and jacks, plus deep-water trolling for marlin and wahoo. The dramatic red cliffs and salt flats of Cabo Rojo make this one of Puerto Rico's most scenic fishing destinations.
