Grand Anse's long beach and the rocky headlands at each end create multiple shore fishing opportunities. The clear, calm Caribbean water on the west coast allows you to sight-fish in some spots, and the reef structure close to shore holds a variety of species.
Where to Fish
- Quarantine Point (North End): The rocky headland at the north end of Grand Anse drops into deeper water. Cast metal jigs and plugs for jacks, barracuda, and cero mackerel.
- Grand Anse Beach (South End): The reef edge near Morne Rouge is within casting distance at low tide. Bottom rigs with cut bait produce snapper and grunts.
- Morne Rouge Bay (BBC Beach): This smaller bay just south of Grand Anse has calm, reef-protected water. Light tackle with small hooks and cut shrimp catches yellowtail snapper and sergeant majors.

Light to medium spinning gear with 12-15 lb braid is ideal for Grand Anse. The clear water demands finesse — use fluorocarbon leaders and natural-colored lures.
