Reef fishing on Molasses Reef was epic
Anchored up on Molasses Reef and the fishing was absolutely incredible. Yellowtail snapper were chewing on the chum slick all day. Also caught beautiful mutton snapper, lane snapper, and a couple of cero mackerel. Key Largo reef fishing is in a class by itself.

Sailfish kite fishing was out of this world
Set up the kites off Key Largo in about 300 feet of water and the sailfish were hot. Raised eight sails and released five on live goggle eyes. Key Largo sits right on the edge of the Gulf Stream and the sailfish fishing here is phenomenal.

Found happy tailing bonefish on the oceanside flats off Key Largo at sunrise. Made careful presentations with small shrimp patterns and hooked seven bones. The bonefishing around Key Largo is some of the most accessible in the Keys.

Tarpon at Jewfish Creek were loaded
Fished Jewfish Creek and the Card Sound Bridge area and found tarpon stacked in the channels. Live-bait fished with mullet and jumped five tarpon, landing three between 60 and 90 pounds. Key Largo has some incredible tarpon spots.

Grouper and hogfish on the patch reefs
Fished the patch reefs between the reef line and shore off Key Largo and the action was fantastic. Caught beautiful black grouper, yellowtail snapper, and three fat hogfish. Key Largo has the most accessible reef fishing in the Florida Keys.

Ran into the backcountry of Florida Bay behind Key Largo and found redfish, trout, and snook on every flat and mangrove shoreline. The water was crystal clear and the fish were aggressive. Key Largo backcountry fishing is a hidden treasure.
