Redfish in the Cumberland Sound marsh were loaded
Fished the marsh creeks and oyster bars around Cumberland Sound near Fernandina Beach and the redfish were on every shoreline. Threw soft plastics and gold spoons and landed 12 slot reds. Fernandina Beach has some of the best marsh redfish fishing in Northeast Florida.

Flounder at the jetties were thick
Drifted live mud minnows along the sandy bottom at the Fort Clinch jetties and the flounder were stacked up. Caught nine beautiful flatfish including a couple over 21 inches. Fernandina Beach jetty flounder fishing in the fall is a must-do.

Trout were on fire on the inside flats
Hit the grass flats on the backside of the barrier island near Fernandina Beach with topwater plugs at dawn. The speckled trout were blowing up on every cast and we landed 20 trout including several fat gator trout. Fernandina flats fishing is world-class.

Kingfish were running strong offshore
Trolled live bait on the offshore reefs and wrecks off Fernandina Beach and the king mackerel were schooled up and hungry. Boated six kings including a beauty over 35 pounds. Also picked up some big amberjack on the vertical jig.

Bull reds were blitzing in the surf
Found massive schools of bull redfish in the surf zone along Fernandina Beach during the fall mullet run. Cast cut bait into the churning water and hooked bruiser reds on every cast. The biggest went 38 inches. The fall bull red run at Fernandina is spectacular.

Sheepshead and drum on the St. Marys River
Fished the pilings, docks, and rock structure along the St. Marys River in Fernandina Beach and the sheepshead and black drum were eating nonstop. Limited out on sheepshead and caught a half-dozen drum. Winter bottom fishing in Fernandina is always productive.
