Snook stacked at Port Canaveral
Fished the jetties and rocks at Port Canaveral during the outgoing tide and the snook were lined up feeding. Threw live croakers and caught nine snook with two over 32 inches. Port Canaveral is a snook hotspot that most people don't know about.

Speckled trout topwater at dawn
Hit the grass flats on the Banana River at first light with topwater plugs and the trout were blowing up on every cast. Landed 20 trout including some fat gator trout over 22 inches. Cocoa Beach has world-class lagoon trout fishing year-round.

Tripletail and cobia nearshore
Found tripletail and cobia around the crab trap floats and channel markers off Cocoa Beach. Sight-casted live shrimp and caught four tripletail and two cobia. Nearshore sight-fishing on the Space Coast is a unique experience you cannot find many other places.

Offshore bottom fishing produced a great haul
Ran about 15 miles offshore to some natural bottom and the red snapper, triggerfish, and amberjack were all eating. Caught a fantastic mixed bag and filled the cooler. The offshore fishing out of Port Canaveral is seriously productive.

Black drum on the flats were giant
Found schools of big black drum on the shallow flats of the Indian River Lagoon during their winter spawn. Sight-casted live crabs and hooked five drum between 20 and 35 pounds. These fish fight incredibly hard on light tackle.

Redfish on the Indian River Lagoon were incredible
Poled the shallow flats of the Indian River Lagoon near Cocoa Beach and found redfish tailing everywhere on the grass beds. Sight-casted with gold spoons and landed 10 beautiful slot reds. The Indian River Lagoon is one of the most diverse estuaries in North America.
