Redfish in the marsh creeks were incredible
Explored the vast marsh creeks behind Amelia Island and the redfish were everywhere. Threw gold spoons into the creek bends on the falling tide and caught 15 reds with most in the 22- to 27-inch slot. Amelia Island marsh fishing is as good as it gets.

Flounder run at Nassau Sound was epic
Fished the sandy bottom at Nassau Sound and the flounder were migrating through in big numbers. Drifted live mud minnows and caught 10 beautiful flounder including several over 20 inches. Amelia Island fall flounder fishing is legendary.

Kingfish were stacked on the offshore reefs
Trolled live bait along the nearshore and offshore reefs about 20 miles out of Amelia Island and the king mackerel were thick. Boated seven kings with the biggest going 38 pounds. Also caught a nice cobia that was cruising the reef.

Trout and redfish slam on the flats
Waded the shallow grass flats on the west side of Amelia Island at dawn and the fishing was outstanding. Caught a beautiful slam — speckled trout on topwater, redfish on soft plastics, and a flounder on a jig. Amelia Island is a world-class inshore destination.

Bull redfish on the beach during the mullet run
Found schools of bull redfish crashing mullet in the surf zone along Amelia Island Beach. Cast cut mullet into the schools and fought bruiser reds on every cast. The biggest went 40 inches. The fall bull red run on Amelia Island is incredible.

Sheepshead on the jetties were nonstop
Fished the St. Marys River jetties with fiddler crabs and the sheepshead were biting on every drop. Limited out in about an hour on fat 3- to 5-pound fish. Also caught some nice black drum and mangrove snapper around the same structure.
