The Fishing

The deep-water drop-off at Scotts Head is one of the steepest in the Caribbean — the seafloor plunges to thousands of feet just offshore. This brings pelagic species incredibly close to land. Trolling and jigging from local boats produces wahoo, mahi-mahi, yellowfin tuna, and marlin. The Soufriere-Scotts Head Marine Reserve also holds healthy reef fish populations, with snapper, grouper, and parrotfish on protected reefs.
